Doctors International (DI), first mission trip to the country of Guyana. The team consisted of 21 medical professionals spent a week seeing patients, conducting surgeries and educating healthcare providers. 100 patients in clinic were seen and 50 urology and general surgery procedures were performed.
Showcasing the unique and fascinating story of Avi Yaron who was treated for an initial tumor but a follow up check up reveals a residual tumor. With no one to help, Avi invents a technology (Visionsense) to remove such tumors using insect eye 3D vision as the basis. His technology is now used by the GW Medical Faculty Associates in a variety of different clinical specialities during endoscopic surgeries.
